Two ways in.

Come to events and stay on the list, or help run the thing. Both start in the same place.

Option one

  • The members' chat, where most of the useful conversation happens
Option two

Running the club is the part that actually teaches you something: you approach trading houses, you negotiate, you organise, and you answer for it when it goes wrong. It is also the fastest way to meet the industry.

  • EventsBook speakers, run the evenings, handle logistics.
  • PartnershipsApproach trading houses and brokers, manage the relationship.
  • ContentWrite the market note and the event recaps.
  • MarketingSocial channels, posters, photography.
  • FinanceBudget, sponsorship invoicing, association reporting.

Before you ask

The questions we get every September.

Do I need a finance background?
No. Workshops start from the beginning, and a good half of the room is usually seeing letters of credit or laytime for the first time.
Is there a fee?
No. Membership is free and every event is free. Our partners cover the costs.
Which programmes can join?
Any programme at HEC Lausanne, Bachelor or Master, and students from elsewhere at UNIL are welcome too.
In what language are events run?
English, since that is the working language of the industry. Questions in French are always fine.
