Just launched
CSC was founded in 2026 by three HEC Lausanne students, and is being built right now.
Our application for recognition as an official HEC Lausanne student association is with the university, and we are waiting on the decision. In the meantime we are doing the work anyway: designing the programme of talks and workshops, approaching trading houses and brokers, and preparing the first issue of our market note.
If you want to be part of the first intake, as a member, on the committee or as a partner, this is the moment when joining actually shapes what the club becomes.
Who we are
A club about the physical market, not the abstraction of it.
Most of what students learn about commodities stops at a price chart. The work itself is somewhere else: a cargo has to be bought, financed, insured, chartered, loaded, shipped, discharged and paid for, and every one of those steps is a place where money is made or lost.
We are HEC Lausanne students who spend our spare time on that second version, the operational one. Geneva sits forty minutes down the lake and trades a large share of the world's crude and grain. Our job is to make that proximity count for the people on this campus.
